No, there are two basic types of logpoint, interactive and door/gate.The interactive logpoints use a touch screen interface for input. The door/gate logpoints typically use a proximity reader and they activate a boomgate or door to admit or deny entry to the cardholder depending on the access criteria you define.

No, typically site access is associated with a person having a competency "key". This means thay have been authorised to enter the site through that logpoint. These entitlements can be configured to automatically expire after a preset time period.

Yes, it's possible for cardholders to manually log in or for your authorised employees to manually log cardholders in.

Yes, you can ban a specific person or company from whatever areas you wish to.

Yes, you can easily change the logpoint configuration at single or multiple locations. For example you might change it so a cardholder can only log in after their identity is confirmed face to face by one of your security officers.

Yes, just as you can block an individual contractor, so you can also block a contractor company and then none of that company's employees are permitted to log in at the designated locations.

Yes, Onsite can be used to maintain competency data of personnel and manage training scheduling and records.

Yes, an employee card can be used at any of your sites which you have authorised for that person, and a contractor card can be used at any of yours and other Onsite clients' sites who have nominated that person's contractor company as entitled to work there.

Data connectivity to the Onsite application can be achieved in remote areas though the use of either satellite link or Next G mobile services. Onsite’s array of dedicated logpoints, web clients, mobile web interfaces and Secure ID cards provide the means to control and manage entry and exit to sites in conjunction with or even without physical barriers such as boom gates, entry gates and doors.

Onsite Access Control technologies work hand in hand with the Onsite Competency Records ensuring only those people with appropriate competency attributes (i.e. security and/or safety) can successfully login at a particular site location.

This ensures an organisation can implement an access strategy based on the site security and safety policy requirements for the site (and sub locations) which provides the organisation with a cost effective site safety validation system to help the organisation protect their people and assets. Where required they can also block “banned” cardholders from entering a site.

How it works

All people (employees and contractors) entering a site are required to complete a login using their Onsite Photo ID card at a logpoint. During login their competency attributes are compared to the site requirements. If they match, then login can proceed.

Once successfully logged in, each person is automatically issued with a printed sticker (visual validation of a successful login) which is worn up until they log out.

Additional logpoints within the site are used to track the location of the individual and in some cases to further restrict access where required.

Visitor access is also managed via a logpoint to capture visitor data including name, contact number, the site contact and the purpose of the visit. A visitor induction can be delivered through the logpoint. Once again, a printed “visitor” sticker is issued and worn until they log out.

Onsite has specialised data importing tools and cababilities which generally allows us to import a wide range of existing client datasets into the Onsite database. This would typically include employee, contractor and competency records.

Onsite Track Easy provides comprehensive reporting of time and attendance data. Onsite can capture the activities of contractors whilst on site and report on these in order to cross reference with invoices. It can also require contractors to nominate designated site contacts when entering a site, and the site can choose to have the nominated site contact immediately informed via email or SMS of the contractor's arrival.

An Onsite logpoint allows a valid cardholder or visitor to record their presence at a specific location on your site. The date and time are also recorded automatically. An interactive logpoint can be configured to request further information from the cardholder. It can also deliver a visitor induction and require each visitor to re-do the induction after a specified time period. Cardholders and visitors can be refused entry for various reasons.
