The K2RQ Alliance has deployed Onsite Track Easy to manage the multiple and varied Induction and Safety competencies required to deliver the Kingsgrove to Revesby Quadruplication (K2RQ) Project, one of the largest rail infrastructure projects currently planned for Sydney.
The rail project will provide two additional tracks between Kingsgrove and Revesby to allow the separation of local and express services operating on the East Hills Line. It involves the construction of 12 kilometres of new track, ten new rail bridges, modifications to five existing bridges and works at Revesby Station.
The whole operation will be interconnected via a mobile data access solution using 3G Mobile Technology which will network the 15 Onsite Logpoints in use at any one time and the Onsite software application.
The K2RQ Alliance, comprising the Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation, Leighton Contractors, Maunsell Australia, Sinclair Knight Merz, MVM Rail and Ansaldo, was awarded the tender to deliver the project on behalf of the NSW Government.
The project is part of the Rail Clearways Program designed to improve the capacity and reliability on the CityRail network.
The project is currently being assessed by the NSW Department of Planning under Part 3A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
